GAME RULES
This is a turn-based game, fashioned as a reworking of Chess. One player stands upon the board, and one vampire stands against them.
The vampire may be slain only in one way. The player must move onto the vampire’s square while the stake is held in hand. If the stake be not yet been claimed, the player may not enter the vampire’s square, and the vampire shall remain unharmed.
Found on each board are items, and these items alter the manner in which the player may move, following the path of a piece from Chess.
The Sword: movement of the Knight.
The Cross: movement of the Bishop.
The Keep: movement of the Rook.
A board may also be marked by dangers.
There are blockers, shown as an X. Neither the player nor the vampire may step upon these squares, nor may they pass through them.
There are traps, which remain unseen. Should the player step upon a trap, the player shall lose their next turn. When this cometh to pass, the vampire may move twice.
In each level there lies but one vampire, yet not all vampires move alike.
The first is black of form, and it may move one square in any direction.
The second dons a red mask. It may move one square in any direction as well as move in the manner of the Knight.

This is actually really fun! Simple but executed very well.
